I've met several fellow pilgrims on the bus from Pamplona to St. Jean. We all went separate ways walking around St. Jean, but somehow arrived at the Pilgrims' Office at the same time to receive our Credential del Pelegrino/Carnet de Pelerin/Pilgrims' Passport. My language (in)capability was outmatched by the friendliness of the people, but yet I will still listen to my Spanish instruction CDs and will still attempt to engage in conversation.
