Toto...

...I have a feeling that we're not on the meseta anymore.
Long stretches of flat wheat fields, the hot sun beating down with no shade from any tree, heavy gear ladened with extra water and food; this is the meseta.
Astorga to Rabinal offered a gradual climb and after a height of 1500 m or so a quick descent to Acebo and Molinaseca resulting in a two day ache of tendinitis at the top of my right ankle.
Molinaseca to Villagranca was still flat but saw changes in weather and fauna. Twenty kilometers after Villafranca gave the steep rise to O'Cebreiro and the first city encountered in Galicia.
I thought the Pyrenees offered beautiful mountain vistas, but the green rolling mountains of Galatia force me to stop frequently and simply gaze.
The cathedrals of Burgos, Leon, and Astorga are the work of man to the glory of God. Galatia feels like the work of God to the wonder of man.
